A wedding menu that tastes of Napa Valley
I cook weddings in Napa Valley at vineyard estates, olive groves and private gardens across Napa Valley and Carneros, from an intimate dinner to 500 guests. You get one chef responsible for every plate, a menu written for you and a team I brief and lead.
Napa sits beside some of the best produce in California: Sonoma lamb, Dungeness crab from the coast in winter, Point Reyes cheeses, local olive oil and kitchen-garden vegetables all year. I build menus to stand beside the valley’s Cabernet Sauvignon and Carneros Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, cooking meat over vine cuttings and using wild mustard, fennel and bay from the hillsides.
Guests gather in the vines in the late afternoon heat, the ceremony catches the golden light over the Mayacamas hills, and dinner moves to long tables under the trees. I time the courses to the wines, with the fire-cooked dishes arriving as the air turns cool.
A menu idea: Sonoma lamb cooked over vine cuttings, garden vegetables with wild mustard, and figs with smoked honey and a late-harvest wine.
Season and logistics
The main wedding season in Napa Valley runs April to November. Napa County is strict about events at private homes and wineries, so I check what the property is permitted for and plan kitchen space, parking and timings with your planner. Summer days are hot and nights cool sharply, so I plan the menu for both. I work alongside your planner and venue so the kitchen fits into their timeline.
What I can cook for you
Canapés and aperitif
Cold and warm bites for the arrival, each one a clean single mouthful, made from local produce.
The wedding dinner
A plated tasting menu, a family-style feast, food stations, or a mix of all three.
Drinks programme
Wine and champagne pairings, a non-alcoholic pairing and a signature cocktail, designed with the menu.
Late-night food
Something warm and salty around midnight to keep the dance floor going.
Welcome and rehearsal dinners
A relaxed barbecue or fire-cooked feast to start the weekend, or an intimate tasting menu for family.
Day-after brunch
A late, generous brunch for everyone who stayed, and one last moment together.
My signature: live-fire wedding catering, a wild and foraged wedding menu, and intimate weddings and elopements.

Weddings in Napa Valley: good to know
When is wedding season in Napa Valley?
The main season runs April to November. Popular dates book early, so secure yours as soon as the venue is confirmed.
Can you pair each course with wines from the estate or our favourite producers?
Yes. I work from your wine list and tune each course to the bottles, so the food and wine read as one menu.
Can you cater a large wedding in Napa Valley?
Yes, up to 500 guests with a hired kitchen and service team that I brief and lead.
Do you cook the welcome dinner and brunch too?
Yes. The whole wedding weekend can be planned as one menu, from the welcome dinner to the day-after brunch.
How is the date secured?
A date is locked when a deposit of at least 60 percent is received.
