Why micro weddings change the food
With fewer guests, every plate can be cooked to order and the menu can be far more personal. Couples often spend what they save on guest numbers on a tasting menu, better wines and a longer weekend together.
Choose a format
- Plated tasting menu of five to seven courses with pairings.
- Long-table feast with sharing platters, ideal for a villa or garden.
- Fire-cooked dinner, with guests gathered around the cooking.
Cater the whole weekend
A micro wedding is often a weekend in one villa or chalet. The same chef can cook the welcome dinner, the wedding meal, late-night food and the day-after brunch, so the weekend feels like one story.
Staffing
Up to 12 guests, a private chef can cook alone. From 20 to 80 guests, plan for a small kitchen and service team, which the chef hires and leads.

Popular weekends book early. Send your date, venue and guest numbers, and secure the date with a deposit.
